Why Kaikoura?
Kaikoura is an area on the South Island of New Zealand I was lucky enough to visit in 2024, home to the indigenous little blue penguin, the Kororā. These little penguins weigh only 1KG and are 35cm tall yet can swim 70Km a day and dive to a depth of 50m, swerving to avoid hungry seals and gannets.
They reflect our stance that a small investment in marketing can go a long way. It may be a little penguin but it does an awful lot - resilient, collaborative, a survivor. So I decided to name the company after the Kororā’s safe haven and one of my favourite places, Kaikoura.
I also love talking about New Zealand so there's that too.
